For the fourth winter in a row, my hubby and I have awakened in a cold bedroom--as in below 40℉ (4.5℃). In my reality, this is a bottom line temperature for camping. I don't fancy snow camping, but camping is indeed what Jim and I call our sleep times.
When I tiptoe downstairs to find coffee and the morning newspaper puzzle, I turn on the heat to a comfortable 65℉, and then wait at least an hour til the room temp climbs. As soon as I turn off the heat in any room in the house though--including the "hearth," aka the kitchen--the temperature rapidly plummets. It seems that, while charming as all get out, 1920 Craftsman homes were not insulated, and long ago renovations didn't include insulation in the plans.
And so it is that hubby and I have declared 2017 the year to manifest a warm, cozy, affordable, creativity-supporting home. Honestly, I do not know how this is going to manifest. After all, this lovely town's real estate situation is hot hot hot, with un-affordable-to-most-people prices on the homes for sale. Once again, Anacortes has been "discovered." That fact, along with the significant rise in personnel on a local Navy base has created a dearth of affordable rentals. This is not a pretty picture to my mind. Recent financial changes in our base income makes visualizing a comfy, affordable home a challenge to say the least.
Yet: We feel it happening even though we can't see the "how." And I am grateful that I know and utilize powerful manifesting tools, including visualization and intention setting.
I'm especially appreciating an under-valued manifesting tool: Letting go. Letting go to the highest and best results in creating a comfy home allows me to relax, release my intentions and desires to the Universe, and wait in delicious anticipation of awesome results. Yesterday, hubby and I viewed a home I've been attracted to for months. It's a perfect location, has inspiring views, a garden space for hubby, work space and a lovely kitchen for me, and space to host guests and students and clients. What's not to love? Yet, when it came to time to manifest this dream, I let go of this particular result. Why? Because the Friendly Universe just might have something else in mind for us. Hence my go-to prayer: "I pray for the highest and best results."
Letting go of the results is the ultimate manifesting power. I'll keep you posted on this current creation, ok?
